Description

Advanced Egg Incubation Medium

  • Our SuperHatch is an advanced incubation medium that makes moisture monitoring a breeze. It changes color based on the water content, so you can easily keep an eye on the humidity level. It's also reusable indefinitely, making it a cost - effective choice, especially great for gecko eggs.
  • INFORMATION: This is a high - grade ceramic product (calcined clay). It has outstanding porosity and represents the next generation of egg incubation media. It won't break apart, compact, or float over time. The color change feature lets you visually track moisture changes, and you can reuse it after sterilizing by cooking or boiling.
  • SuperHatch has extremely high porosity and a very fine internal structure. This enables it to absorb and hold large amounts of water while evaporating at a very slow rate, helping to prevent surface moisture and condensation.
  • Ingredients: 100% Arcillite.
  • DIRECTIONS: Put SuperHatch in a sieve, strainer, or porous bag. Soak it in water for a few minutes, then take it out and let it drip dry. Add the SuperHatch to your incubation container until it's about half - full. Then add the eggs, and you're all set! For most species, saturating the SuperHatch and letting it drip dry is a good mix. Some species need less moisture, and you can achieve this by mixing in some dry SuperHatch. You can also mix SuperHatch with water by weight or volume to get the right moisture level. Always use the largest possible incubation container. A 16 - oz container is the minimum for a pair of gecko eggs, and a shoebox - sized container is suitable for 10 - 20 eggs. A larger container helps reduce the impact of environmental changes on the incubation conditions.

Using Repashy SuperHatch is easy. First, place it in a sieve, strainer, or porous bag and soak it in water for a few minutes. Then, let it drip dry. Next, add it to your incubation container, filling it about half - full. Now you can add the eggs. For most gecko species, the soaked - and - drip - dried SuperHatch is fine. But if a species needs less moisture, just mix in some dry SuperHatch. You can also measure by weight or volume to get the right moisture. When choosing a container, go for the largest one you can find. A 16 - oz container is okay for a pair of eggs, and a shoebox - sized one is good for 10 - 20 eggs. This helps keep the conditions inside stable. After use, you can reuse the SuperHatch. Just cook or boil it to sterilize it. This way, it'll be ready for the next batch of eggs.
