Repashy SuperCal MeD is an ultra-fine calcium supplement with medium levels of Vitamin D, perfect for species with normal Vitamin D needs. Our calcium carbonate comes from a unique source - it's mined from the Mohave Desert in California. About 300 million years ago during the Mississippian Age, this area was a large marine animal graveyard. In a shallow marine environment, ideal conditions led to the formation of calcium carbonate deposits. These remains were cemented together by calcium carbonate precipitated from the primordial sea. Then, through various natural geologic processes like high pressure and temperature, the deposit was further purified and metamorphosed.
